Hello !

I'm the owner of a 1979 Musician MC 900 bass and the preamp/EQ is out of order : no sound at all !
Does anybody have informations about this equipment (wiring, schematics, etc ...) so I could fix the problem ?
I already contacted Ibanez France : no spare parts (too old), and no information about the preamp conception available (keep your secret secret, they said, even with an obsolete equipment !).

bye.

hmm, sorry i cant be of help. I would need to see it to determine the problem and fix it.
Older parts are not available either so a current replacement would have to suffice..

Thank you for answering !

I gave the whole thing to someone that seems to be able to cope with it. I'm waiting for the results !
In case he won't find, I think I'll replace the preamp with a 3 band Bartolini. Do you think it will fit with the mics ?

too late for you now, i think. but.... usually the problem is simply that the ground wire solder joint needs to redone. sometimes simply the ground wire is broken(they get brittle with age). (that was the case in my RB760)

Did you ever get help with your Ibanez MC900? I have one that I think got modified but the pre-amp is original.
