| i play an ic300 and they are great, but only one downside, the pickups, they do sometimes 'pop' when hitting the thin strings |

I've had my IC300 for about 2 years. Nice guitar, especially after I put EMG's in it. I would suggest a leather strap of some sort becuase the "slippery" nylon/cordura straps make the guitar hang funny...I think because of the way it's weighted. The leather helps keep the guitar in place...on me anyway.
Most of my friends hate the guitar and think it's ugly as sin...but that just makes me love it more!
Hope this helps... _________________ Eugene |

ICX120 and the DTX120 are guitars that i would not recomend to anyone. I currently own a Custom IC300 with EMG-81 and EMG-85 pickups. You guys need to learn that you should find your own sound and guitar and not mimmic another mediocre guitarist, especially if your planning on purchasing a signiture model. _________________ Equipment:
-Ibanez Custom IC300 Iceman; EMG-81 and EMG-85 Humbuckers; Paul Stanley Washburn Pickguard
-Fender Cobain Jag-Stang; Fender 12 string Acoustic-Electric

Yeah i definentely know the kind of guitar Daron plays. I've been doing a lot of research on the Iceman lately.
He is one of my favorite guitarists, and I did get interested in the guitar because of him. It felt a lot different than I thought it would. It was nice and light for me, and I think it allows fast playing. I'm still going to try another one out before I buy it again. Which Iceman model is good on both chords and soloing? I read that the IC300 has ah1 neck and ah2 bridge - good on chording and soloing. The ICX120 is about 100 dollars cheaper. it has ah3neck and ah4 bridge. I have actually tried this one out. I thought it was good on chording & soloing too. Can someone give me some advice about this?
It's a shame that you can't find the colorings that Daron has on his guitars. I kinda like the silver sparkle one myself. |
