hey guys im new to using double locking trems so this might be a dumb question,I own an ibanez rg320fm when ever i use the tremolo on it,i tends to detune alot,and i mean alot,i have not changed anything on it Yet(spring setting,tension etc.)i left it just the way i bought it,was there anything that i needed to do before i can use it?

Hi, it could be several things. Some easier than others. If it is a new guitar it shouldn't be worn parts.
Have you double checked the clamps on the nut are secure?
Also is the trem sitting roughly parallel with the body. If it is very high or low it won't return to pitch properly.
If in doubt, return to the shop and get them to set it up for you  |

| Well on my Ibanez with the trem, i have mine set alot higher so i could have higher harmonics, and when i bring the bridge up, and then let go, it goes a higher pitch, when i bring it down, it makes it a lower pitch, barley, but it makes all the difference, so i guess you could say im having the same issue |

I think It's a spring issue. One thing: spring tension equals string tension. You have to tighten or untighten the screws of the spring claw. when the tremolo plate goes in one line with the body surface, the problem should be solved.
