I have an Ibanez JS 1000 and currently use the reccommended 9-42 strings.
I also have two Les Pauls on which I use 10-46's. I want to use 10-46's on the JS, as they always sound "fatter". Has anyone out there done this and does the JS set up OK with 10's. I realise I need to adjust trem spring tension and neck relief. Someone told me that the extra tension with the 10's may pull the pivot posts over because the body is Basswood (fairly light/soft).
Thanks
