Hi all, just joined up yesterday! I'm a long time player but have never owned an Ibanez, which I plan to soon cure. I havn't made up my mind yet on which model. I started out looking at the Artcore 75TD's but since I already have a 38 year old Epiphone Casino, and recently selling my Strat, I'm thinking of going solid body.
I mostly play Blues and some older Rock&Roll, not classic rock, and also I'm pretty heavily into Surf Music, in more of the style of Gary Hoey.
I'm thinking now more along the lines of the 470DX or around there.
Anyway I just wanted to say Hi, and say I've already learned a little about Ibanez here, now to figure out their Number system, LOL!!!
Thanks for a Great forum.
Regards Sonny |

Gday Sonny, I am also a newbie, joining only a few weeks ago after I purchased my S470DXQM.
I am only a new player (2 yrs - mature age starter) and did a year with a squire but also had access to a USA strat and few different les pauls that friends own.
I can definitely say the S470 rocks......my goods mates, one in particular who is a 15 year player and bloody good at it loves the tone it generates.
I was a hard core stratocater man until I was introduced to Ibanez.
Good luck to you.
