replacement necks

i have a soundgear sr400(4 string) and would like to put a sr405(5 string)neck and bridge on this guitar,can this be done,also would it fit, any imput would be greatly appreciated.

Hi.

First of all, don't ask question three times on few topics. If someone can help you, he surely answer your question.

As this is a bass question, i'm posting answer here. The four string SR is 62mm width at last frat, while five string RG is 67 mm width. You can fit 5-string neck into 4-string body, but you'll have to do some routing. I don't think it's worth doing it. It would be better to sold 400 and buy used 405.
