change battery on gsr200, please help

Hi everyone,
I've a new gsr200 and I wont to connect the inside battery:
- I take away the screws, but I can't remove the plastic door, it seems to be "glued" to the body of the bass. I'm afraid to damage or scratch the body using a knife.
Any suggestion? what's happen to the battery door?

I'd take her to your closest guitar center or w/e music store that does repairs etc.
