I have problems to enclose some pics from my Levin mandolins collection in the earlier topic, so I try to enclose them in a new topic.

You ask about the tone?

As you say, a little lack of volume. But I thought it was because the f-holes in the top.

I have a couple of Levin mandolins with f-hole and they sounds more mute than the other Levin mandolis with round or ovale soundhole.

Hera are some pics of my Levin mandolin collection.
They are all built between 1939 - 1952.
