I have an S1 from an RG series.

Then I also have a single coil from a S470 FM. An AS1.

Do these sound the same? I play modern music. The single coil is going to be paired with a Dimarzio Humbucker from Hell in the Neck, and the Dimarzio Evolution in the bridge. ALL put in a mint condition S540LTD black.

And if anybody knows how in the *Golly Gee* world you're supposed to wire a VLX91 5 way switch please enlighten me.

I might just go with a three way switch, leave the single coil out, and play with two humbuckers.

I would use the S-1 pickup, it is a better pickup.
Read more about it here.

There are plenty of diagrams on how to hook it up here.

I won't work to use a normal three way strat switch and two humbuckers.

Send me a mail and I can send you how to hook it up.
But it is easy to understand if you look at the diagrams from the Ibanez site. Look at this one, and you figure it out.

Okay, I looked at the diagrams. The Ibanez diagram sucks. Well, I just don't understand a couple of things. If you look at it, the picture of the switch from the vlx91 side, it's on the left of the two pics of the switch, there is a line at the bottom of the switch, it seems to be connecting the two bottom spaces on the switch. *What the Heck* is that?

So I looked at the other diagram too. Only prob is that I have a different switch. I actually have another switch it's a four way switch. Weird huh?

Should I just get a new 5 way switch that isn't as complicated as the *Golly Gee* 24 space VLX 91?

All I want to really do is blend the two humbuckers at one of the switch points. I am starting to lose faith.
