I can't seem to get it together this week, and I don't know why. I think I'm going through some sort of burn out stage or something. I have practiced every night this week for at least an hour, but they have been the sloppiest sessions I've had since I started playing. I'm screwing up songs and licks I know backwards and forwards, I have NO timing, and I keep muting the string when I first hit the note. I thought it was because I was bored with doing the same ol' material, so I tried to learn some new stuff. I can't even find the groove for the new material. It's been getting very frustrating, but the more frustrated I get, the sloppier I get. Anyone else ever go through a stage like this? What did you do to get out of the rut?

I know that's probably best, but a week just feels like a long time not to pick up my baby. You gotta do what you gotta do, though. I wonder if they make a patch for playing withdrawls.
