| Hey, I've been looking at the ibanez gsr200 as a beginner bass and have heard some good stuff about it, what does everyone think? |

The GSR is junk. A decent Ibanez to start with is the SR300DX. For the price range ($300 - $380, depending on where you buy.) it's probably the best place to start. The tone is decent, the actions nice, it's light weight, and it can take some abuse. I recommend it compared to other starter basses by other manufactures in that price range. No one can seem to be able to match it's quality for the dollar amount..
The GSR, on the other hand, is a poorly made bass. The tone is not that great, the action has a tendancey to be high making it a little more difficult to play, and it will fall apart on you.
Good luck and post when you buy your firstt bass! _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |

That's the best way to do it. Post when you get it, even pics if you can get some. _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |
