I've got a RoadStar RB620NT. It's a P-Bass styled PUP conf. I've got my eye on an Seymour Duncan active P+J (APJ1) set to replace this. Here are my questions:

-Is there enought room under the pickgaurd for an additional pot and battery?

-Will I have to route the body to put the J syle PUP in?

-Has anyone ever used or heard these in use? How do they sound?

Any advice that you good people could lend would be appreciated. and if anyone has read my other post, any info on this beasts' neck would be apprecitated too!!
