Ibanez Newbie Questions?

I just bought an SDGR SR1205 5 string in 95% condition SNC44308x, made in Korea, WOW what a surprising instrument.

I'm not even a bass player (yet... playing guitar for years) but once I got it in my hands I couldn't put it down.

Questions if I may?

I read that they made less than a hundred of these, why?

Were they discontinued with so few made because of problems?

Are there any manuals on the controls? I've figured out the
Master volume, and panning, but
the "tone" controls go from a flanger type sound to tone.

Did they come with a case? Mine didn't.

Lastly, what's it worth? I paid
$600 for it (no case), I think it's a good deal.
