Hi all,
New member here looking hard at an eBay auction for a discontinued BTB 600E, but I can't find any factory info on this model.

Link to auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewItem&item=2371334010

Bassplace told me it is Japan made with USA Bartolinis.
I am hoping to get a hands on user to let me know how the angled Bart single coils sound in this ash bodied bass. Is it thin sounding compared to my 1005OL?
I wonder why it has been discontinued so soon.
Any links to a 2002 cataloge available?

Thanks for any feedback you might have!

The BTB600E is not listed in my 2002 catalogue, just the 400QM, 405QM, 406QM and the 1005EOL

Thanks Jerrye.

Except for the 2002, I have now looked at catalogs from 1998 through 2003 with no luck. I have seen some pictures of the bass so it does exist. Maybe it was meant for the European market only. A very rare bird.

Gummy,

The nearest I could find to what you'rre looking at is the 1006e. Click Here It looks like different pups, though. I'd be real careful. If none of us have ever heard of it, and you can't find any info on it (run a search in Google), then I'd ask a lot of questions. You may also want to shoot VWall (board mod) an e-mail. He's a Ibanez dealer and may have some info on it. Good luck, and welcome aboard. I will say, though, that the place you are dealing with has a decent rep. I've never dealt with them, but I've heard they're a decent site to deal with. Good luck.
