Man, was that 86? 87? Hell, I don't remember anymore. I'm surprised I remember anything about that night. Man, were we lit up! Anyway, my first real concert was Iron Maiden: World Slavery, in support of Power Slave. I got a few downloads of the live CD of that tour recently and have really been enjoying them, but with the CD (cassette at the time) was a live video of the concert. I think I paid $12.99 when it was released. An awesome video. The wife type has never been to a real concert, much less an old school Maiden concert, so I thought that if I could find it I would buy it so she could get an indea of what it was like. Well, it's out of print. I did find a brand new copy on Amazon though. Are you ready for this? $60.00 You have got to be kidding. I guess my wife will just have to take my word that it was the most intense stage show ever produced. By the way, after that I caught them on Somewhere in Time, Seventh Son, and No Prayer For The Dying. At least third row for the last 3 shows. Man, those were the good ol' days. _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |

Sorry guys, before my time
the only time I've heard of Iron Maiden is in a song by some stupid punk-pop band called Wheatus's song "Teenage Dirtbag" in which it says "I've got 2 tickets to Iron Maiden, baby, come with me friday, don't say maybe, cuz I'm just a Teenage Dirtbag baby, like you, ooh ooh ohh ooh."

Before my time, too. But I suggest that you don't use that as an excuse. These guys were founders of the music we listen to today. Without them, and many bands like them, we'd still be in the dark ages when it comes to heavy music. _________________ Most people are as happy as they make their minds up to be. - Lincoln. |

I think that Live after Death and Made in Japan are the two best live recordings of the Earth. You Know, Maiden for me are a great band, and PowerSlave is my one of my favourite albums. Back in The Village is a *Whoa! Watch It There Little Cowboy*.c.k.ing great rock tune, and Rime of The Ancient Mariner is my fav song from then and from Heavy (well, Metropolis...). They are great. _________________ Memoricen todo, escalas, arpegios, acordes, patrones, cadencias, etc,

I think the two best live recordings are Live After Death, and WASPs Live In The Raw.
Rime rocks. That and Hollow Be Thy Name are my 2 fav Maiden tunes. _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |

They're like a must-hear band during the 80's, their songs are like anthem and we're always humming to the chorus of seven sons and fear of the dark. I still occasionally play them during jammings _________________ A good friend will bail you out of jail.....but a true friend will be sitting beside you, saying "Damm, that was fun!!!" |

When I'm really bored at work I catch myself singing The Trooper and Muder in Rogue Morge. _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |

How many guitars are in flash of the blade??? I hear 4, but sometimes I think there's one more, I'm not sure, what do you think?
Harris is great in that song (as always) _________________ Memoricen todo, escalas, arpegios, acordes, patrones, cadencias, etc,

I can hear 4 clearly, but I know back during that time they would over dub as many as 6 seperate tracks. _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |
