ok i just got my 1st bass yesterday, a GSR200. i have never even touched one before this, so i was wondering.....what does each of the 3 knobs control?
i can tell a difference in sound when i turn the 2 top-most knobs, but the bottom one seems to do nothing.
any help appreciated! thanks! |

Welcome to a whole new world, my friend. Your three knobs control are: volume, tone, and balance control. Click here for a link that will give you a little more info on your new bass. _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |

yea i checked the website, but they have no info about the knobs. i'm still a little confused. the bottom-most knob seems to do not hing, and the other two don't seem to do what you're saying. i think the top 2 knobs turn the volume up for each pickup individually.
if anyone can confirm what these knobs do, i would be very greatful. |

The top one should adjust the overall output level (volume)
The middle one should adjust tone (tone)
The bottom one should adjust the balance between the two pickups. Turn it counter clockwise, and you'll get more output from your neck pickup, and less from your bridge pickup. Turn it Clockwise, and you'll get more output from your bridge pickup and less from your neck pickup. Center this knob, and you'll have the same amount of output from both. _________________ ~Guitarjeff1112~

With that being a p/j setup you should notice a fuller, righer tone with the front pup, and a sharper, crisper tone with the back. _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |
