| several (or more) years ago while doing repair work for a large guitar establishment, i did some setup work on a guitar that had a mechanism resembling a 'comb' that would grab the 'high-side' strings and retract them to a level far enough below the standard strings (while also muting the 'high-side' 6) to enable the guitarist to play the standard 6 strings. i seem to recall either Gretsch or Rickenbacker being the mfr, but i cannot find anything at all on this mechanism or model. can anyone refresh my memory? |
