now, it's just pathetic.

Do we know Drain's actual name?

Dude, I'm to old and don't care enough to keep up with the young ladies. I've gone from the Alpha male of the pack heading out on the hunt to a hyena, scavenging whatever comes easy. That's why I got married!

LOL you two.

Wow, what was this, some kind of post-athon? I leave for an hour and come back to find like 50 zillion new posts.

So, SRX can play console games huh? You know what, now that I'm thinking about it, you would be about the right age to be a nintendo freak. Didn't they come out in the 80's?

And it's good you monitor your kids, theirs a lot of bad stuff out there. I'm a strict mo fo when it comes to what my two youngest siblings are doing. hahaha, they hate me for it, but hey.

My real name is _____.

I thought you guys knew that. Actaully, if you read the what it feels like to get hit at 40 mph thread, you should see my name...i think. Not 100% sure.

Nintendo is for you youngin's. I grew up on the Atari 2600 and real arcades. I remember when the quick shop at the top of the neighborhood installed their game room. It had Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Asteroids, Galgax, Frogger, and Joust. Which reminds me, for those of you that are a little above the curve with PC's, does anyone else play emulators?

Check this out. Every stand up video game and cartrige game is run by a computer chip hard wired to a small motherboard. Someone figured out that you could some how transfer the code from the chip to your PC. A small .exe program activates the game and there are several very simple GUI's out there that allow you to interface the game. I have been playing all the original arcade games, I have the entire Atari 2600 catalog, the entire Nintendo catalog, and even some Playstation and Nintendo 64 games I can play loaded on to my PC in less then 500 mb. It's pretty cool. Just run a search on emulators in Google and there are several sites that have the executable, GUI, and all the games, as well as instructions on how to set it up. It's kind of funny, I worked with a guy who bought an old stand up video console of Pac Man, hollowed it out, stuck a PC in there, set up game console controls on the shell where the joy stick use to be, and used it as his gaming station.

The process is actually called "MAME". Here's a good web site to get started with: Mame Web site

WARNING: If you are not computer savvy DO NOT mess with this web site. If you screw up on the installation or configuration you could hose your system and have to do a complete reinstall of Windows. In other words kids, don't try this on mom and dads machine.

hahahaha, you know what, that does date you.

and don't worry I wouldn't ever touch my parents computer (it sucks too bad). All computers except for mine are crap. I built mine with my bare hands, and with my hard earned lawn mowing money. it is my baby.

Hey SRX,

I got emu64, but I cannot find games. I have looked everywhere, all I get is anime porn, vote loops, and "register with ebay and you can get every game you want".

Can you give me a direct link to where you got yours?

yea... i was into the emulation thing for a while. It's not that hard to download the rom file from a cartrige or stand-up. Most kids that go to tech. schools can do it.

and yes, for some reason, SRX and I are usually on at the same time, so there is usually a daily post-a-thon.
