For those curious, I figured out they are all 34". Thought I'd share...currently with myself, since I seem to be the ONLY bass player to currently be active on this forum. Not that I'm bitter. At least I know the mods will read my posts. _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |

--BTB5 neck--
The BTB's 35" scale offers tight tension with no flopping, superior articulation, and excellent sustain. An offcenter line shape makes the upper fretwork on the BTB as easy to play as lower fretwork is on a standard neck.

Thanks Doc. At least I know there's another bass player posting in the forum. I've been stuck with all these 6 string types for a few months now. When it came down to it I ended up getting a Fender 5 string Jazz. _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |

My friend Dave owns an SR5 of some type... and his neck is crappified thanks to the guy that owned it before him. I brought it into my guitar tech, and the best he could do was adjust the truss a bit, but its really really warped and irreprably misshapen. Its an early 90's SR5 i believe... how much would a new neck cost?

My Ibanez is a 35" neck (just like the write up suggests ), but it also says that the frets are medium sized. Compared to other basses, though, I find the frets to be rather wide (or long, depending on how you're holding the thing!). How can you have a longer neck, yet average sized frets? It's beyond me!
P.S: The head doesn't appear to be extra long, either. _________________ Most people are as happy as they make their minds up to be. - Lincoln. |
