Are these basses supposed to be like Squier in the Fender company?
I have played a couple of SOungear basses and I really liked them. Of course I am not a bass player so I probably wouldn't be able to tell a differenceo |

| jamesron, the soundgear bass starts out to be at a lower line level around 300 dollers and even then they r better than the ibenez at that same price range, but the higher end ones are the cream of the crop for ibenez, dr. bass has one that cost him over $2,000.00 custom made to his specks and woods, all actice ,its a killer bass! |

| Unlike Squier, which never see the Fender factory, all Ibanez Basses go through setup, etc at Hoshino. |

I haven't checked out the newer lines, but the higher quality ones generally start at the 800 series. I have an older 400 and it's not even close to the quality of an 800.
The 800 bass is somewhat the equivalent of the RG550 guitar. |
