Hey guys, my friend Dave has this bass, it says its an EX on the headstock, and I'd agree with it, cuz its got an EX body too. he got used at a store known to have sucky stuff once in a while. The neck was wicked messed, so I brought it to my tech, and he fixed the truss as much as he could, but the neck still sucks. It's got these pretty good-sounding pups on it that say they're made by EMG. Does it make more sense to try to find a neck for the guitar, which is in bad shape otherwise too, or just get another one? If he were to replace the bass, if he were not to go out of Ibanez (we're looking into Fender's P-bass models right now), what basses for under 700 would be a good upgrade from the EX?
