Sounds like wisdom teeth to me. Mine came in when I was 17. A word of advice, have them removed right away. Mine really didn't present a problem coming in, so I never worried about it. The problem is that they are not as strong as your regular teeth and decay much quicker causing serious problems. I didn't know this and never had mine removed. It's now 15 years later and I'm having major mouth, teeth, and jaw problems because of it. At the end of the summer I'm looking at a very painful surgical procedure to fix it thats going to cost several thousand dollars. If you have insurance get it taken care of now! I would not wish what I have been going through on anyone, it bites! (No pun intended. ) _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |

Dont mess with your teeth. If you think it is them , Get 'em out. It will cost but It can cost ya more if they mess with the alingment of your other teeth. _________________ "There is NO justice, only the law!" |

I know what you're goin through Dan. Mine started coming in when I was 18 and they never made it all the way through, but over the past 5 years, they have been coming in bit by bit causing excrutiating pain. My gums have been infected and I don't have insureance either. It's going to cost me about $1500 just to get them cut out and they want at least half of it whenI get it done. Currently they still haven't made it all the way through, the ones one the bottom are just over half through and only one on the top has started coming through, the other is still under the skin. So Nofiska, if your partents have insureance or will pay for it, get those things out of there ASAP. I should have done it a long time ago, and I regret not getting them taken care of when I had the chance. Do it!!!

My top wisdom teeth are all the way through. They came in just fine, no problems other than occassional and slight movement (dentist said they'd be easy to pull). The bottom ones have broken through the gum now too. Call me a big fat chicken but I don't want them pulled. Maybe if they start giving me a bunch of problems, but until then... I don't mind having some extra teeth back there. |
