In your current dozen or so guitar collection do you have a Strat by chance? Just wondering, I got this e-mail from Fender today, thought it may be a good way for you to promote.
| Quote: | With 2004 marking the 50th Birthday of the Fender Stratocaster(R)
electric guitar, we've been thinking of ways to help celebrate this
historic instrument in style. And what better way could there be than
to celebrate the *people* who have played these guitars?
Yep, we want you to show the world the instrument on which you make
music ... We want you to "Show Us Your Strat"! Just send us a picture
of yourself and your beloved instrument, along with information you'd
like to include (model number, year bought, nicknames, etc.), and
we'll make sure that your Strat is part of the year-long celebration!
If you have a digital photo you can submit it via e-mail to
showyourstrat@fenderusa.com; or, alternatively, you can send a hard
copy photograph via U.S. mail to the following address:
Show Us Your Strat

There is a disclaimer, if you're interested shoot me an e-mail and I'll foward the whole thing to you. _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |

Thanksbro..
No,i got that email like weeks ago...
I dont own any strats...
Not a huge fan..
Of course when i see them at a good price I usually buy them and try to like them again..
Theres a special place in me foe older starts but I just dont like the fret board radius and that the ones i like only have 21 frets.
After a show we did with about 6 thousand ppl and the spotlight was on me and i gio into my solo i was off by a whole step..
My wrist automatically knows where the 19 fret position is on a 24 fret guitar so wheh i play another guitar , i slid up to the 17th fret and my solo was 1 step out of key!
How embarassing!
So after that show I decided to get rid of and not own anymore guitars that are not 24 fretswith the exception to a few rare ones...
I ended up selling of about 15 guitars ... _________________

Ouch! But at least you have a legitamite excuse. I did something similar to that one night and we had no monitors on stage. I had no clue how bad I was really doing until after the show. I had gone from a Jackson/Charvel to a borrowed Fender P and was way off all night. I should of been a little less *One Eyed Bishop* and paid a little more attention to what I was doing. A very humbling experience. _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |
