|
|
Hey guys, I have (as you can tell from topic) an Ibanez RG 570 and I just changed strings on it, I used to have 009, but now I changed to 010
The problem is that now the strings are stretched so the tremolo lies at its maximum height. This means the strings are very high compared to the fretboard which makes it pretty impossible to play decent.
I tried changing the position of the tremolo from the back side of the guitar, where the springs are. Didn't help though, it still goes max height when the screws are tightened to their max.
There must be a way to fix this. Hope anyone friendly can help me.
P.S
(Excuse my english. I don't really know guitar terms and stuff in english, but I hope you can understand me) |

You may want to have it professionaly set up. A good repair shop will charge you about $100, but will guarentee your satisfaction. _________________ Some motherf*ckers are always trying to ice skate up hill. |

Tanks, buta ctually, the problem is that all guitar shops lies several miles from where I live. I'm in the middle of nowhere with a very tight budget. Heh..
Just wondering if I need to open it up or something or if it is adjustable. I don't mind spending some hours trying to adjust it if it's possible to do by yourself. |

The easy way out is to add the fourth spring in the tremelo. At least this work when I'm changing from .009 to .010 to my Hamer. Try it, it may work. Otherwise you have some set-upping to do... _________________ Thanks
