We have the cheesiest 80's metal bands.

So lets get on with the best 80's bands.

In No particular order....

Im off all flavors..
I mean, i was listening to Malmsteen, Slayer, Testament, Flotsam and Jestsam, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Mercyful Fate, Babylon AD, Queensryche, Van Halen, Halloween, Helloween, Metal Church, Sanctuary, Motley Crue, Ozzy, Motorhead, W*A*S*P* , King diamond, Celtic Frost, Death Angel , Death, Suicidal Tendencies, Dio, Dokken, Anthrax, Judas Priest, Winger, Rainbow, Royal Hunt, Poison, Britny Fox, Warrant , Ratt, Tesla, Skid Row, White Lion, Cinderella , Scorpions, The Cult, Danzig , Bullet Boys, Great White, L.A. Guns, WhiteSnake, Kix, Guns & Roses, Triumph, Steel Heart, FireHouse and much much more!

At the same time Im not embarassed to say i was listening to the likes of
Gloria Estefen and Lionel Richie, Teddy P, Elvis Costello, Edie Brickel, Erasure, the Cure, michael J, Lakeside, and the like.

Im a molded piece of all that music and dozens others.

But mostly today, I dont listen to almost any of the music i lkisted above.
Perhaos some of the better songs with REAL solo guitar talent like Reb Beach and Vito Bratta, etc...
But now i mainly fouc and only listen to a small sect of music:
Vai, Narnia, Satriani, Older Vinnie Moore, Shawn Lane, Jeff Scheetz
Rex Carrol, Derliverance etc...

I soend more time writing and oinly want to listen to musaic thats compatable to my level of playing...
Its fun to reminisce the others but i dont do it much at all.....

Always had a liking for Tesla. A little Motley Crue. Pink Floyd was still going in the 80's, I think, and maybe Alice in Chains was around at that time. Otherwise, I really don't like 80's music. Too much hair.

Hey Vwall, you ever hear of Paul Gilbert? On the note of great soloists, and how about Michealangelo?

Hey baby girl! Very Happy

yes indeed!

I actaully have about 50 pictures, 8x10 B&W of Michael sporting his new Tradition guitars.

I bought a bunch of stuff from a music store the bank foreclosed on and they had to auction off the leftovers.

Among other things i bought, I bought a magazine rack with about 50 guitar magazines and a whole pack of the Michael A pics was in it the whole lot.

it was pretty cool!
Im not much of a fan but he is amazing!

As for Paul Gilbert.

I havent heard and Racer X stuff but remember the Mr Big Days..
I hear he is quite something of a shredder but its all import so i havent picked any up yet...
