Not intentionally, I promise. It kinda went down like this...Last night I went to the local guitar store with my SRX500 to trade up to the SRX505. They were somewhat busy and since they know me really well there, and since I can spend 8 - 10 hours a day there with out getting bored, the sales guy took care of the other customers first. So, here I am, in the bass section, all these basses and amps, and idle hands. I picked up the SRX505 and jammed with it for a bit and put it down. Just like I remembered it from the last time I played. Yes, this is the one that I'm taking home tonight. They had a few 4 strings I wanted to play (A B.C. Rich Hummingbird and a Jackson to name a few) so I messed with those for a bit. Then, out of curiosity (idle hands being the devils something or other), I picked up this beautiful Fender Standard Jazz V pao ferro, Artic White, with a red tort pick guard. I haven't been considering a Fender 5 string because I have a hard enough time adjusting to the larger 5 string necks on the Ibanez, and I knew the Fenders would be massive compared to the SRX's. I plugged it in anyway, just to see. The tone was phenomenal. The lows *Holy Censor, Batman* near vibrated the fillings out of my teeth, the mids had enough punch that you could feel it in your chest, and the highs were very, very crisp. The neck was not as uncomfortable as I thought it would be, either. In all fairness to myself I put it down and played the 2 other MIM Jazz V's they had and an MIA Jazz 5. None of them felt or sounded the way the white one did. Needless to say I left the Guitar Exchange last night with the Fender, not the SRX. Sorry gang, but every now and again you get lucky enough to come across that one instrument that feels just right to you. I haven't had that happen in several years. The last time I had it happen was back in the early '90. I found a 1971 Gibson EBO, all original, $450.00...and I passed on it. For 10 years I've kicked myself for passing that one up, this time I jumped right on it. That does not mean, however, y'all are getting rid of me. I will still grace you with my endless wealth of knowledge (or is that obnoxiousness?). Either way, you still have to put up with my *Poop*. I'll post picks as soon as I get my home page finished.

Sorry man, I just can't believe you own more than 1 guitar. Razz I bet you still have a snake skin Jackson hidden away in a closet somewhere. You break it out every time the wife leaves and jam to old school hair band cassettse. I'm getting this image of you banging your head to some old Man O War or Dangerous Toys, or some other obscure 80's band. Laughing

O.K. guys get out!!!!!! I only have Ibanez!!!! Just kidding !!!!! I just haven't found anything else I enjoy playing, yet. I really want a gibson SG, but they are huge and heavy, to much guitar for me.lol. I've heard decent things about the fender basses though. So congrats!!!
