Help. I'm looking for info on my Ibanez 540P I recently bought. It is the old Skolnick with the reverse body style. The Ibanez site is pretty useless and I need to get some parts for it. I have a copy of the old ad for it that listed specs, but The writing is too small. Info looking for is Tremlo System and locking nut specs and model, pickups. Also, anyone know what years these were produced? Thanks for any info.

Dan,I can rey and find out for you.
Also, I am an Ibanez Dealer and can get you those parts if available.
Drop me a line and i will call my Ibanez Rep..
Im pretty sure the tremelo is an Edge Trem in Cosmo black with a reverese headstock. Ibanez still carries the Cosmo black tuners in reverese due to the PG series guitars!as well as the Nut and Edge trem.
Heres the specs on these guitars from the ibanez catalog.
The hardwareis standard thru all 3 -4 years made.
However, there were some produced with 22 and 24 fret necks:
Custom extra wide neck
Width: 45mm at the nut 57 mm at the 22nd fret
Thickness 17mm at the first fret, 20 mm at the 12th
Basswood body
Shark's tooth inlay
Rosewood fretboard
All Cosmo black hardware; nut, tuners and Reg Edge tremelo
and ibanez USA F3 HB and C2 SingleCoil pups
The 540PHH had 2 HB's with 22 frets.
The 540PSH had I HB and 1 SC with 22 frets
and the 540P had 2 HB with 24 frets (earlier models)
Produced only between 1989 and 1991
let me know if I can help with the hardware etc...
