That thought popped into my head while I was passing time at my desk today. For those of you that are old enough to remember, check this out:

Vivian Campbell - Is now a guitarist for Def Lepard.

Adrian Vandenberg "The Flying Dutchman"- Has a long term contract with Warner/Chappell Music Publishing as a studio musician. He is also involved in a European show much like American Idol called Starmaker.

Yngwie Malmsteen - New CD being released September of this year. Entitled 'Attack'. Apprears to be a Europe release only.

Paul Gilbert - Apparentley Paul has been quite active releasing CD's and touring in Japan for the last several years. Still resides in Vegas. No word of Mr. Big. Is it just me, or do hope that project finally died?

Chris Impellitteri - Another person who has been active acroos the lake. Chris' band is apparently still together, recording and touring in Europe. A new CD is suppose to be out in June, no word of a U.S. release.

Joe Satriani - Still jammin' and touring here in the U.S. Heard yesterday on the radio that he is getting involved in a side project with Neal Schon(Journey) and Sammy Hagar. I'm checking into that right now.

Steve Via - Still touring and recording here in the U.S.

Is there anyone I missed?

Update: Neal Schon (Journey), Sammy Hagar, and Michale Anthony (Van Halen) have a project that is several years old called Project Us. Satriani has just become involved and we can expect a release sometime next summer.

He's getting ready to go out and support his latest solo effort, according to his web site.

Gilbert you mean??? I'd like to hear his solo stuff. Amazing player....
I'm glad there's no more mr. Big and never will be except for the reunion after 10 or 20 years...

Jani - This link provides a detailed discography of his stuff...solo, Racer X, and Mr. Big. http://www.paulgilbert.com/discography.html Also, there are other areas in the site that talk about his current CD and Japan tour. Enjoy.
