How can I tell the difference between a S540 and a S470? I have a custom shop S series guitar and can't tell exactly which model it is or when it was made.

The serial number on the back of the headstock begins with F04... and I know it's older than 2004. Black, wizard neck and a floyd Rose trem., S-S-H(c2-F1) pups. It was made in CA. The plate on the back of the neck has no number stamped on it.

What is a fair asking price with the hardshell case?

doesnt the 540 have the edge and the 470 have the worse trem? Im pretty sure that the big diffrence but Ive been wrong before PLENTY!
