artist bass 1978 i think

so ive got this bass, an Ibanez Artist ... serial B786164

im looking for info on it, heres some of what ive found so far....

there seems to be two types, one with pick ups with pole pieces and a headstock inlay (the one in the last picture/link) and ones with no headstock inlay and covered pickups (the one in the second link)

anyone know why they differ?, price differences? or does anyone know anything more about these basses?

im trying to decide whether to sell mine or not, ive had it for 12 years and dont want to sell it really and had no idea that it was a rare bass (seemingly) if its worth some money or in demand it might have to go. (i want to buy an alto flute)

any info/help would be appreciated Smile
